Your inverter is considered to be the most important aspect of your solar system. It controls every part of the power generation within the system and provides all the information you see in your monitoring portal.
Because your inverter constantly monitors the quality of the electricity from the grid, it will disconnect from the grid if there are any discrepancies in voltage or frequency. This is a safety precaution to stop your inverter from being overloaded.
Your inverter will also de-activate at night and once the sun rises and is strong enough, the inverter will automatically boot itself back up – it will also complete a safety test before feeding back to the grid with electricity. It is normal for inverters to turn off when no power is being produced (i.e. at night).
